Outdoor Drinking Really Is For Fall
Last Saturday, some friends + I braved the subway and PATH to Jersey City to check out Zeppelin Hall, an outdoor beer garden. When many people think of beer gardens, they immediately think of it as being a summer activity. But the truth is, the fall is an even better time – during Oktoberfest, in particular.
Oktoberfest varieties were in abundance. The food was hot – I had a schnitzel. The air was brisk – warranting sweaters and coats, and even a scarf from our lady friend, Liz. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Irish Italian Style
After a few days filled with meetings and eating, we decided to skip dinner after gorging at Ben’s for lunch. Today, after two very good meetings we popped into an Irish pub in midtown called Connolly’s for a quick, light bite of lunch. I will be sad to see them go, but will reunite in a few weeks in Milan (expect some nice photos, yeah?)
Guerino looks sharp (as usual), but exhausted.

Concert Pre-Game at Molly’s Shebeen
My wife was awesome enough to buy me tickets for my birthday to see Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg. Growing up I was a huge Ramones fan, and until last night I hadn’t seen a Ramone performing Ramones songs in concert since the mid 90′s. Aside from three rather awful opening acts, it was an amazing night. (more…)
The Roebling Inn | A Newer Bar With An Old Soul
In my old age (I just turned 34) I’ve gotten past enjoying bars that are overly crowded, too loud to hear the titillating conversation, or full of young kids trying to hook up. There was a time in my life when that was all I needed. That time has passed. Today if I go to a bar it’s probably to meet some friends for drinks and conversation; perhaps watch a sporting event; maybe get a little something to eat. (more…)
